The Fluke BT508 Battery Analyzer is designed for on-the-fly testing of stationary batteries used in backup power systems. The tester allows you to monitor the internal resistance of each cell in the battery and measure the voltage, storing the results in the internal memory. The recorded data is marked with the time and date of the measurement, and can be exported to a PC for further analysis and reporting.
Using the Fluke BT508 ensures high efficiency of testing. It takes no more than 3 seconds to test the internal resistance of one battery, while the actual voltage at its outputs is also monitored. Voltage and resistance readings are displayed on the LCD display simultaneously in different lines. By comparing the obtained result with the calculated nominal value, you can immediately judge the technical condition of the battery being tested.
High resistance measurement accuracy is achieved through a four-wire circuit and a special probe design with a movable tip. During measurements, you can find out about battery damage using a special indicator. To reduce the impact of pulsating voltage on measurement accuracy, the Fluke BT508 analyzer is equipped with a pluggable internal frequency filter.
An additional operating mode allows you to measure DC voltage. This enables measurements at control points of power supply systems, such as at the battery output or at the rectifier contacts of the charging system. You can save the results with one click of a button, without interrupting the measurement process.
An important advantage of the Fluke BT508 Battery Analyzer is the ability to set acceptable threshold values for the parameters being tested. Thus, the device immediately displays the results in the form of text messages Pass/Fail/Warning - Pass/Not Pass/In Threshold State. You can use the power quality analyzer for tolerance control even without special skills.
When testing batteries of different types, you do not have to reconfigure the analyzer. The device provides the ability to set 10 threshold level indicators, so it is enough to select the desired set of threshold values.
